About Me
Hi, my name is Jecinta Wanjiru Mwangi from Nairobi, Kenya.
I have always been passionate about stories. As a child, I loved reading storybooks so much so that I’d read whole storybooks in the bookshop because I knew we couldn’t get all so I’d read as much as I could then settle on the two or three that my parents had agreed to buy for me.
As I grew older that love translated into telling stories. As an introvert, I’ve always felt like the best way to express myself was through writing. My best feeling is getting on a keyboard and just letting my brain and fingers guide me and words pour out from my word into my laptop.
Then I discovered a way in which to tell stories through social media and that’s when I got into social media storytelling. I call it storytelling because every time we’re on social media, every picture, or video tells someone’s story. I got into social media marketing four years ago and eventually digital marketing and every day, I’m awed by the power the internet has in terms of storytelling, especially for businesses and brands.
I have been able to grow different businesses and companies, some from the ground up since they are startups and every day I work to bring brands closer to their clients.
